Library hours when weather warning is issued (approaching typhoon)

When a “storm warning” [boufuu-keihou] or an “emergency warning”[tokubetsu-keihou] has been issued for Toyonaka, Suita, Ibaraki, and/or Minoh, all OU-Libraries will be closed.

※The 24-hour service of the Global Commons may be canceled even without a weather warning when the weather condition seems to go worth.

 If a weather warning is issued when libraries are open,

We will close all libraries as soon as possible.

 If a weather warning is issued before libraries are open,

Library hours depend on when a weather warning is canceled:

  1. Monday – Friday(during academic terms)
  2. If a weather warning is canceled Library hours
    By 6:00 Open as usual
    By 9:00 Open at 12:00
    By 12:00 Open at 15:00
    By 15:00 Open at 18:00
  3. Monday – Friday(NOT during academic terms)
  4. If a weather warning is canceled Library hours
    By 6:00 Open as usual
    By 9:00 Open at 12:00
    By 12:00 Open at 15:00 (Main library and Life Sciences library only)
    By 15:00 Open at 18:00 (Life Sciences library only)
  5. Saturday and Sunday
  6. If a weather warning is canceled Library hours
    By 6:00 Open as usual
    By 9:00 Open at 12:00
    By 12:00 Open at 15:00 (only during academic terms, Main library and Science and Engineering library only)
  7. National holidays
  8. If a weather warning is canceled Library hours
    By 6:00 Open as usual
    By 9:00 Open at 12:00

※The status of the issued warning will be checked on the TV, radio and Internet.

Other than the cases described above, the libraries will be closed when dangers are expected.
