How to upgrade Mendeley to the institutional edition
When you log in to Mendeley on the University of Osaka network, your account will automatically upgrade to the institutional edition.

- If you do not have a Mendeley account, please access the above website to create your account.
- You can use the upgraded version off campus for 12 months after your last login on the UOsaka network.
When you leave the UOsaka or when the UOsaka cancel the Mendeley Institutional subscription, your account will be downgraded to the free edition and you will not be able to use the premium features any longer.
- Your Mendeley account will not expire after the downgrade.
- Your data will remain in the storage of Mendeley Web Library after the downgrade. However, you need to export your data to the other storage if your usage exceeds the limitations of free version.
EndNote Online
- A Web-based tool of EndNote.
- The students, faculty and staff of the University of Osaka can use EndNote Online (with Web of Science) which provides 4,600 bibliographic styles, for free.
- You can use EndNote Online if you don't belong to the University of Osaka, but bibliographic styles are limited to 21.
Notice of use
- To start using EndNote Online, you need to access Web of Science and click "EndNote" button on the menu bar to create an account.
* To create an account from off-campus, click Web of Science in the "Access to databases" list of "Off Campus Access", access the Web of Science through user authentication by the University of Osaka Personal ID, and click “EndNote” button.
- If you already have an account for Web of Science, registration is not required.
- EndNote Online works seamlessly with Web of Science. You can also import citations from many other databases.
- Off-campus access is available. But you must access the site on campus at least once a year. If not, your account will become a free EndNote basic account.

How To Set Preferences for Finding Full Text
By making the following settings on the EndNote, it is possible to check the full text which you can use at the UOsaka.

- This is paid web application by Paperpile.
- Fully supported on Chrome for macOS, Windows, Linux and Chrome OS. It also known to run on Microsoft Edge and the open-source Chromium browser.
- Optimized for Google Chrome and various Google services.

- This is paid software by Digital Science Research & Solutions.
- OS : Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android
Zotero
- Available for free.
- This has two versions : Zotero for Firefox and Zotero Standalone.
- OS : Windows, Mac, Linux and iOS（iPad, iPhone）.
