Pay-Per-View prepaid service offered by Elsevier allows using a deposit for downloading individual articles from Elsevier journals that the Library does not have subscription to. The University has made an advance deposit, under which users can purchase articles at a price lower than individual purchase with a credit card.
This service is available to graduate students and staff members of Osaka University, who can use public expenses (management expenses grant).
User registrations each with Elsevier and the Library are required in advance.

To use the Pay-Per-View prepaid service, you must complete the following Step 1,2 and 3 in advance.
To use the Pay-Per-View prepaid service, you must have a ScienceDirect account registered with OU domain email address.
Only accounts that have logged into ScienceDirect from the internal network of Osaka University in the past can be authorized for PPV use.

Please check the following points before sending the form.

| Email address | The email address registered in ScienceDirect must be provided. It must have the OU domain. |

| Budget manager's seal | Please make sure that the seal is provided. |
| Email address of the budget manager | If you are a graduate student, please make sure that the address is provided. |
The Library will make the settings on receiving the application, and notify the completion of registration by sending a notice to the address on the application.

When applying for the PPV service, your budget manager’s email address must be provided in the application form.
Before registration, we will send an email to the budget manager for confirmation.
Please note that it may take some time before the process is completed.
Log in to ScienceDirect, and choose Osaka University, Prepaid (the organization for users of the prepaid service).
