[For Students, Faculty and Staff]　Apply for a library card at Life Sciences Library

This page introduces to you how to apply for a library card at Life Sciences Library.

Eligibility

  • Research Students, Special Students and Auditors
  • Faculty, Staff and Research Fellows

Undergraduate students and graduate students can enter the library and check out materials with your Student ID Card (the one with a magnetic stripe on the back).

Procedure

  1. Please apply at the counter of Life Sciences Library. 【unmailable】

    2. Please bring the following documents.
    1. The University of Osaka Library Card Registration Form（Life Sciences Library）
    2. The identification documents：please bring and present one of the item listed below.
      • Students
      • Student ID Card
      • student registration certificate
    3. Faculty, Staff and Research Fellows
      • employee contract document
      • membership card of "The Ministry of Education , Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Mutual Aid Association"
      • Staff ID Card
      • contract document concerning your status such as Visiting Researcher, Research Advisor, and so on

  2. If the application is accepted, you will receive a temporary library card at once.

    • You can enter the library and check out materials with your temporary library card.
    • Temporary library card is valid for four libraries and four faculty/research institute libraries.(Library of Graduate School of Human Sciences, Library of Research Institute for Microbial Diseases, Library of Institute for Protein Research, Library of ISIR.)

  3. Please pick up your formal library card on or after issue date of it.

    • The issue of date is written on the temporary library card. It will be approximately one week later.
    • Please bring your temporary library card.

※ You can't apply on Saturday and Sunday.
