Facilities

This page introduces the facilities available in the Main Library and provides information on how to use them.

Cubicles

These rooms are intended for individual study.
You can reserve these rooms at Main Desk or via Web Service (Osaka University Personal ID is required).

Speaking Booth

These booths are available for activities that require speaking, such as online classes, discussions, and presentations.
You can reserve these rooms at Main Desk or via Web Service (Osaka University Personal ID is required).

Group Study Rooms

We have five rooms for groups of 3 to 6 people, one room for groups of 3 to 8 people, and one room for groups of 3 to 10 people.
You can reserve these rooms at Main Desk or via Web Service (Osaka University Personal ID is required).

If you are visiting as a student group, please register your group at Main Desk on your first visit.

Learning Commons

These spaces are available for group discussions, computer use, and other collaborative learning activities. No reservation is required.

Area for learning multi-language and multi-culture (reservation is not necessary).

Library Hall

The Library Hall can accommodate up to 80 people and may be used for lectures, seminars, meetings, and similar events.
A Projector and microphones are available here. Members of the University of Osaka can access the Internet via the campus wireless network.

Service Hour

  • 9:00-17:00 on weekdays.(Unavailable on closed days)

Reservation

  • Reservations are accepted from six months to seven days before the date of use.

Process of Application

Only faculty or staff of the University of Osaka can reserve this hall.

  1. Please reserve the "Main_Library Hall" through the following page. This creates a tentative reservation only.
  2. After this temporary reservation, please fill out the following application paper and send it as an email attachment to the floor service office of Main Library.
  3. We will notify you once your reservation has been confirmed.
